We are a family run business located in NW Minnesota. We emphasize training your horse on a solid foundation. Respect and manners are the foundation of every horse we train. We use natural horsemanship techniques that allows your horse to be trained without pressure. When your horse is willing to learn - he learns because he wants to - not because he has to. Respect and manners are a key element in ground work and that follows through when ridden. We conduct horsemanship clinics to educate people who want to learn the "how to". We also run a small cow/calf operation that allows us to work our horses with the cattle. Roland is a 1987 graduate farrier from the Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School performing a wide range of horseshoeing skills.

We are in the process of putting up a 10 stall barn, and an outdoor arena (2003). Dana has almost 30 years experience owning horses, and over 25 years experience showing horses. Dana has shown in everything from Halter, Showmanship, Longe Line, Western & Huntseat Equitation/Pleasure, etc. We show competitively in IBHA shows, but also show in Paint and Open shows. Dana placed 10th in the IBHA WORLD in 2002, and Res. WORLD CHAMPION TWICE at the IBHA WORLD SHOW in 2003!! We specialize in lessons, showing and colt starting using a mixture of John Lyons/Pat Parelli methods. We offer competitive rates, with positive, fun and informative lessons too! Additional Special Information: I have always been a firm believer in the fact that no one person knows EVERYTHING about ANYTHING. It is something that I live my life by, and try to instill this concept in my students as well. I know that there are some methods that work well for some people, and some horses, and others that don't work for either. Horse training is a partnership, and there are going to be some quicker ways to attain that, and some slower ways--but it all depends on the student, the teacher and the lesson. I am very willing to lend a hand whenever I can with the experience I have attained over the years, as well as learn new lessons whenever I can!!! I remember when I used to train the "Old" way...lots of ground work, ground driving, etc. before getting on a horse--then I learned about round pens and John Lyons and my training concepts changed. I don't follow everything he does, because not everything works for me. What I do is a mixture of training concepts that I have read, seen, learned and experienced--if I was "the all knowing" just think about the things that I wouldn't have learned.....
